Chief People Officer

CH

You can join a high-performing international team dedicated to software engineering for leading global (re-)insurers.

About the role

Looking for purpose and real impact? As an agile engineering firm specialising in pricing, underwriting, and risk management, we’ve grown to more than 150 "Solvers" across Switzerland (HQ), Georgia, Bulgaria, and Portugal. We are creating a new role: Chief People Officer (CPO) to support our next stage of growth. You will strengthen our people strategy and ensure our HR foundations are fit for a scaling, international organisation.

What you´ll be doing

…you know much better than we do, but it will encompass the following:

  • Since people are the foundation for our success, you are naturally part of our global management team. In this circle, you directly influence the decisions driving our unique corporate culture.
  • You manage and mentor our local HR teams.
  • You establish global best practices.
  • You initiate improvements of our core HR processes and build our talent development programme.
  • As our HR is close to business, you build and foster strong partnerships with our business experts.
  • You ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • You will travel occasionally to our offices abroad.

Your skills and your experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or another relevant field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of HR experience with a proven ability to deliver at a senior level; IT or (re)insurance experience is a strong plus.
  • A track record across the full scope of HR, including recruiting, compensation, performance reviews, team structure optimisation, talent management, and career plan development.
  • Hands-on – in our company, actions count, not words. We have a flat structure, and we expect seniors to execute, not just “manage.”
  • A positive, energising personality that radiates warmth and professionalism, with a sense of humour.
  • Ability to work independently on varied and demanding tasks; exceptional organisational skills.
  • Strong identification with the principles of an owner-operated company, where trust, accountability, and long-term commitment guide every decision.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-changing, client-centric environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (minimum C1).
  • A role model for team play.

Reasons you’ll love working here

  • Over 90% of our staff would recommend working at Solveva to their friends and family.
  • We are an owner-operated company—our management keeps its promises.
  • Small teams collaborate in a friendly atmosphere.
  • We maintain a flat structure with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Our culture of trust provides flexibility for remote, office, or hybrid work.
  • You receive a budget for further education, additional equipment, or the health club of your choice.
  • We provide your choice of hardware: Windows or Mac.
