About the Project 

Our client is an international leader in the insurance market. You will support the client in analyzing pricing processes and integrating them into a global IT landscape. The technology stack includes Java, Python, Azure and AWS clouds, GitHub, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and more.

 
What You’ll Be Doing 

You will work closely with clients, product owners, and development teams to agree on goals and deliver them on time. This effective collaboration is where Solveva excels and drives innovation in our field. This position offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with the client’s underwriting and actuarial pricing teams to collect and clarify requirements and define how to deliver strategic features
  • Representing Solveva in client meetings with developers and business experts
  • Staying up to date with actuarial methods and software engineering trends
  • Contributing to the development of the client’s software suite through business analysis and proactively suggesting alternative solutions to meet client needs
  • Explaining the client’s vision to the development team and compiling acceptance criteria understandable to both client and development teams
  • Proactively participating in SAFe ceremonies and client workshops
  • Reviewing software design proposals when specifying new features
  • Documenting user stories, business processes, and software requirements
  • Ensuring timely deployments and accurate budget reporting to clients

Additionally, you will need:

  • University degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related); PhD is a strong plus
  • 3–5 years of experience in quantitative fields of commercial insurance and/or reinsurance
  • Solid understanding of programming paradigms
  • Practical experience in programming with Python is a strong plus
  • Actuarial certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology for project management (SAFe preferred)
  • Business fluency in English and German
