Senior Automation QA Engineer

GE, PT, BG

You can join a high-performing international team dedicated to software engineering for leading global (re-)insurers.

About the project‍

You can join our Actus team which develops a versatile low-code platform and, with this platform, creates a comprehensive product suite for the insurance and reinsurance industry.

The technical stack of the QA team:

  • JS + TypeScript
  • Playwright
  • Azure, Kubernetes, Docker
  • GraphQL
  • MongoDB

We are looking for a Fullstack QA engineer who is willing to collaborate with teammates to have quality built into development and release processes, in order to bring the desired level of quality using modern approach and automation tools.

About the role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of stable and reliable applications. You’ll collaborate closely with FE, UX, QA, BE, BA, and the PO to turn complex actuarial and business requirements into intuitive, high‑performing user experiences that our clients rely on daily.

In this role, you will take an active part in shaping overall product quality—driving performance, security, robustness, and extensibility. Additionally, the AQA plays a key role in ensuring a flawless release process by maintaining high testing standards, enabling early detection of issues, and ensuring that every release meets our quality expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Conducting backend and frontend applications testing.
  • Analyzing documentation and creating test cases based on it.
  • Analyze requirements, and identify possible test cases.
  • Automating test cases of new functionality.
  • Support and development of the current regression model (we automate everything that is technically possible and makes practical sense).
  • Reviewing test results and preparing detailed bug reports.
  • Investigating and accurately reproducing detected errors in the application through log analysis, executing REST/GraphQL queries, and preparing test data.
  • Participating in scrum meetings, providing updates and insights.
  • Actively participating in refinement sessions, collaboratively contributing on the enhancement of acceptance criteria.
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with product owners, business analysts and software developers in an international team.
  • Design test architecture for different application versions (different clients).
  • Participate in the organization of CI/CD processes (implement your own tests, pipelines and optimize their work).
  • Dealing with test parallelization.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree related to IT or an equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent knowledge of the basics of testing.
  • Previous experience in test design techniques.
  • Proven experience in manual testing using Postman, Swagger, and others related.
  • Solid JS/TS knowledge.
  • Professional experience in backend and frontend automation testing using Playwright framework (> 1 year).
  • Experience working with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent knowledge of working with version control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture.
  • Basic NoSQL knowledge (MongoDB).
  • Understanding of agile methodology for project management.
