About the Project

Actus covers core (re-)insurance processes like loss modelling, pricing, and capital modelling, in a highly customizable manner, fully built with Solveva IP. Technically, it is using TypeScript (React, NodeJS, Express, NestJS) for both frontend and backend. TypeScript and Python can be used for implementing actuarial algorithms. The scope of the application and the client base will increase.

In this role, you will work closely together with our product owner, our developing teams, and with our clients. It encompasses: 

  • Contributing within a team to a great customer experience 
  • Managing to a substantial extent the existing client relationships 
  • Supporting business development activities 
  • Ensuring that client requirements are taken up, managing expectations on both ends, clients’ and developers’, taking ownership on delivery 
  • Helping clients implementing their own solutions with our products 
  • Representing Solveva on client meetings with developers and business experts from client side 
  • Staying up to date with actuarial methods as well as software engineering 
  • Contributing to the development of our software suite by business analysis – client as well as product owner and management requirements are taken up, prioritized, explained to the developers 
  • Being a first go-to person for developers’ questions on business value and the like 
  • Budget reporting to clients (team hours spent on which projects, etc.

Furthermore, you will need the following to succeed in your role:

  • 3-5 years of experience in quantitative fields of (preferably non-life) insurance and reinsurance like underwriting, reserving, regulatory reporting, solvency calculations 
  • University degree in a quantitative science (e.g. mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related) 
  • Sound understanding of programming paradigms  
  • Actuarial degree is a plus  
  • Familiarity with agile methodology for project management (SAFe is a plus) 
  • Business fluency in English
